This guide walks through what actually drives the cost of a photo booth rental, so you can compare quotes on equal terms and decide where your budget matters most. We will also explain exactly how our own collections and add-ons are structured.
What shapes the price of a photo booth rental
Hours of booth time
Time is the foundation of every quote. A photo booth is usually booked for a block of hours during the reception or party, plus setup time before guests arrive. At Luxury Memories, every collection includes three hours of booth time with a professional attendant, and setup happens before your event starts — one hour ahead for our Deluxe and Premium collections, and an hour and a half ahead for Exclusive and Signature.
When you compare quotes, check whether setup and breakdown are included in the price or counted against your hours.
Camera and lighting quality
This is the difference you will see in every single photo. A booth built around a professional DSLR camera and studio-quality lighting produces sharp, flattering portraits that look good printed and enlarged. A tablet or webcam booth is less expensive to operate, and the photos usually show it — especially in dim reception rooms.

Prints and digital sharing
Ask how printing works. Some companies cap the number of prints or charge per sheet. Others include unlimited prints for the full rental.
Our collections include unlimited premium 2×6 prints, instant digital sharing so guests can send photos to their phones, an online gallery after the event, and a live slideshow during it. Animated GIFs are included with every collection as well.
Personalization
A custom print template and welcome screen take design time, which is part of what you are paying for. A well-designed template — your names, date, a monogram or crest in your colors — turns every strip into a keepsake that matches the rest of your event. Every Luxury Memories collection includes a personalized photo template and a personalized welcome screen.
The backdrop
The backdrop is the biggest visual difference between collections, and the biggest variable in price. A clean, classic backdrop is simple to transport and set up. A full flower wall or a draped fabric installation takes more equipment, more time and more styling.
Here is how our collections are built around backdrops:
- Deluxe — a standard backdrop selection, such as our white or pink backdrops.
- Premium — everything in Deluxe plus our luxury white rose flower wall.
- Exclusive — everything in Deluxe plus luxury drapery in ivory, emerald or burgundy, and our black-and-white glam experience.
- Signature — everything in Exclusive, with your choice of flower wall or drapery, plus the photo keychain station and audio guest book.
Attendants and service
An attendant keeps the line moving, helps guests with props, fixes the occasional paper jam and makes shy guests comfortable. A professional on-site attendant is included in every one of our collections, and as a husband-and-wife team, we personally attend our events.
Add-ons
Add-ons are where a quote can grow quickly, so it helps to know what is optional. We list our add-on prices openly:
Luxe Photo Keychain station
- 1 hour: $400 (about 30–40 keychains)
- 2 hours: $500 (about 50–75 keychains)
- 3 hours: $600 (about 125–150 keychains)

Legacy Audio Guest Book
- 3 hours of event coverage: $350
Guests leave voice messages on a vintage telephone. It includes a pre-recorded greeting, custom signage, your audio files after the event, and a keepsake recorder with every message.

Planning a corporate event?
The same factors apply to corporate events, launches and holiday parties, with a few extra considerations. Branding usually matters more: a custom welcome screen and print template with your logo and event name keep the photos on-brand when guests share them. Instant digital sharing and the online gallery also give your team ready-to-use content after the event.
Corporate venues often ask vendors for proof of insurance. We are fully insured, and a certificate of insurance is available on request.
How to compare photo booth quotes
When you line up quotes side by side, ask each company:
- Is the camera a professional DSLR, and is studio lighting included?
- Are prints unlimited, and what sizes are they?
- Is a custom template and welcome screen included?
- Which backdrop is included, and what does an upgrade look like?
- Is an attendant there for the whole event?
- Are setup time and travel included in the price?
- Can they provide a certificate of insurance if your venue requires one?

Because every event is different — your date, venue, hours and the experience you choose — we send a custom quote along with your availability. To book, a signed agreement and a $200 non-refundable retainer reserve your date, and the remaining balance is due 14 days before your event.
