How to Choose the Perfect Photo Booth Backdrop for Your Wedding

The backdrop is the one element that appears in every single photo booth picture from your wedding. Choose well and the photos feel like a natural extension of your reception. Choose quickly and you may end up with a backdrop that clashes with your colors or gets lost in the room.

Here is how to choose a photo booth backdrop that suits your wedding style, your palette and your venue — and what each of our backdrops looks like in real life.

Start with your wedding style

Before thinking about color, think about the overall feel of your day:

  • Romantic and garden-inspired weddings pair beautifully with florals.
  • Classic and formal weddings suit soft, draped fabric.
  • Moody, evening or fall weddings come alive with rich jewel tones.
  • Modern and minimal weddings look best with a clean, simple backdrop.

Your backdrop should feel like it belongs in the same room as your centerpieces and your dress.

Our backdrop options

The white rose flower wall

A full white rose wall is our most romantic option, and it photographs like a magazine cover. White florals work with almost any palette, from blush and sage to black and gold, which makes it an easy choice for garden, lakeside and vineyard weddings across North Georgia. The flower wall is included in our Premium collection, and available in Signature.

Ivory drapery

Ivory drapery adds soft, timeless elegance.

Ivory drapery brings softness and movement. It is the most timeless of our drapery options and pairs especially well with black-and-white glam portraits, ballroom receptions and neutral palettes.

Emerald drapery

Emerald drapery suits rich, elegant palettes.

Emerald is rich and dramatic. It complements gold accents, candlelight and greenery, and it suits evening, winter and holiday weddings.

Burgundy drapery

Burgundy feels warm and romantic, and it is a natural fit for fall weddings and palettes with wine, rust or blush tones. All three drapery colors are included in our Exclusive collection and available in Signature.

White and pink backdrops

Our classic white and pink backdrops are clean and simple, and they are included in our Deluxe collection. White is bright and modern and lets your template and outfits stand out. Pink is soft and playful, a favorite for showers, birthdays and quinceañeras.

How to match a backdrop to your colors

Warm, neutral outfits glow against ivory drapery.
  • Pick one anchor color. Choose the backdrop to match the strongest color in your palette, or go neutral (white or ivory) and let your template carry the color.
  • Think about outfits. Bridesmaids in sage, blush or champagne look beautiful against white florals. Darker suits and jewel-tone dresses stand out against ivory.
  • Consider the lighting. Evening receptions with warm lighting suit richer drapery colors, while bright daytime venues suit florals and light neutrals.
  • Tie it together with the template. Your print template and welcome screen are designed in your colors, so even a neutral backdrop can feel fully coordinated.

Think about the venue

The backdrop should look like it belongs in the space. A flower wall softens a rustic barn or an industrial loft, while drapery adds warmth to a large ballroom. If your venue already has a beautiful feature wall, a simpler backdrop may be all you need. When you inquire, tell us your venue so we can plan placement and confirm the space.
